 USQ – CHEESE DRYING UNITS

At EFC we design and manufacture drying and curing units, bringing our clients over 50 years of experience which includes constant innovation.

Conscious of the trust placed in us by our clients so that their products achieve a unique and uniform curing, we treat each client individually and face to face in order to find a drying solution which is most appropriate for their production method.

The EFC drying units, the USQ models, are compact equipment, coming in both autonomous and centralized models.

Designed to be used in continually cycle processes or in specific stages of the process, they are delivered already tested and with the the ducts manufacture and assembly drawings.

 LOW INDUCTION

The air distribution within the drying unit is done using Low Induction, which is to say, the air circulates through all the discharge ducts at the same time.

There are different air distribution systems:


DISCHARGE:

- Plate ducts with discharge cones
- Plate ducts with adjustable grates
- Textile ducts
 

SUCTION
- Using duct with suction nozzles
- Directly using the casing

The equipment uses a sluice to increase the air flow which circulates in the room.

This system is generally used for the cheese ripening.
