At EFC we design and manufacture
stoving, ripening and drying units, bringing our clients
the over 50 years of experience and the inclusion of constant
innovation.
Conscious of the trust placed in us by
our clients so that their products acquire a unique and
homogeneous curing, we treat each client personally, face
to face to find a drying solution which is most appropriate
for their method of production.
The EFC drying units, models USJ
and USC, are
compact equipment, available in autonomous
or centralized
systems.

HIGH
INDUCTION
The distribution of air within the drying units done by
High Induction:
This system achieves a uniform flow
of air through all of the products, passing vertically from
bottom to top, changing the flow in each station using motorized
sluices.
This air distribution system is
what gives the best results in terms of product homogeneity,
independently of where the product is stored. This system
is generally used in the curing of ham and sausage.
FLOW
INVERSION SYSTEM
As has been previously mentioned,
the air distribution by “high induction” system
results in excellent homogeneity of ham and cured meats.
As the flow of the air runs from bottom to top, in rooms
with high ceilings, humidity gets built up as the air flow
through the product, arriving at the suctions nozzles heavily
saturated with humidity.
To achieve the air homogeneity in these cases, EFC has developed
an air flow inversion mechanism to obtain a high drying
uniformity. Consult

TWIN
INJECTION SYSTEM
For
drying units with high ceilings, EFC proposes its twin horizontal
and single vertical injection systems, able to maintain
a proper homogeneity of the air in rooms measuring up to
8 meters in height.
This design is based on the distribution of air using stepped
injection, in a way which makes the air re-feed into the
suction area.
With twin injection, one obtains
To reduce
cost of installation by increasing the capacity of each
room.
Vertical
growth and better use of the space.
Increase of the drying
yield. By renewing the air at various points, we are
able to keep the air from getting saturated as it rises.
To do this, the system requires great
precision in calculation and execution so that the air is
renewed as it rises in the room.
TAKING
ADVANTAGE OF THE OUTSIDE AIR
With the objective of attaining energy
savings in the production process, we also offer the options
of a system with elements and automatisms which can take advantage
of the outside air when climatic conditions permit.
The system functions completely automatically
through the Secmatic -970 control panel, and it is based
upon the enthalpic comparison between the exterior air and
the interior air within each room.
The quality of the drying process
is at least the same as is done with the machine, and as
oxygenated outside air is introduced, it thus simulates
the natural drying unit.
