EFC Equipos Frigoríficos Compactos, S.A. signs contract to build a large refrigeration warehouse in China.

Equipos Frigoríficos Compactos (EFC), a company of the Ramón Vizcaíno Group, has been awarded a public bid in China for the construction of fruit warehouse with a controlled atmosphere and 5,000-ton capacity for a sum of two million Euros.

The Basque manufacturer of industrial refrigeration equipment has developed various projects in China, but this one has the largest magnitude, both for the economic strength of the region where the warehouse is to be built, as for its strategic location on the border with Russia and Mongolia. For this reason, Vizcaíno has opened a delegation office in the area.

The Ramón Vizcaíno Group, whose annual turnover hovers around 70 million Euros, makes 30% of its sales in international markets. For several years its overseas strategy has been to supply ready-to-use refrigeration facilities for food products in countries with warm climates and with lower levels of development.

Innovation and product development

Here in EFC, following with our idea of continuous improvement, we achieve innovations in our Cold-Pak equipments. Through an exhaustive study realized in our facilities located in Oyarzun (Spain), we reduce to 10% the noise level of our equipment, maintaining their characteristics and performances.

Another novelty created along year 2.005 by EFC, is the NEW SYSTEM FOR BANANA RIPENING Units. The result we get with the chambers we installed during last year have been considered as extraordinary, during process control as much as the absolute homogeneity in banana ripening.

Answering the market needs, we are able to announce the presentation of our new equipment for CLEAN ROOMS. This fact will be ready along this year 2.006 with the creation of a new catalogue.
